Identifying a hole in the market for shorter grow tents, Gorilla set about designing a range of high-quality grow tents that would fit into attics or basements with minimal ceiling height. The Gorilla SHORTY line of grow tents provides a selection of sizes, all with a reduced height when compared to standard sized grow tents.

The 4’ x 8’ Gorilla SHORTY grow tent provides adequate growing space for a significant number of plants, allowing growers to increase their harvest (specific quantities will vary depending on recommended growth conditions and particular species). For growers with a little extra ceiling space, the Gorilla SHORTY grow tents come with a 9” extension kit which enables users to raise the roof of the grow tent from 4’ 11” up to 5’ 8” (these tents are also compatible with the OG Gorilla 24” extension kit).

With tent fabric rated at 1680D, the Gorilla SHORTY is one of the strongest and thickest grow tents currently available, effectively reducing the risk of punctures and tears. The higher fabric rating also means that the grow tent walls offer improved light resistance, with no little holes for light (and unwanted micro-organisms) to enter through. This allows for a more controlled growing environment, with improved insulation. The interior of the tent features a reflective layer that has been shown to improve light dispersion throughout the growing space, making for a more effective use of the light emitted from grow lamps.

As found throughout the Gorilla range of grow tents, the 4’ x 8’ SHORTY tent also includes industrial strength zippers, a durable flood tray and useful tool pouch for keeping the indoor garden neat and organized. The Gorilla SHORTY also has an infrared blocking ceiling and a clever network of vents and ducting ports to encourage optimum airflow throughout the grow space. These have been fitted with micro-mesh pre-filters to ensure no access points are provided for insects.
