To treat your water, or not treat your water- that seems to be a driving question in the hydroponic and aeroponic field. Do I treat my water, or is tap water fine to feed my plants? At GrowAce we don’t mind saving a little money, but we also like to play it safe by using treated water when feeding our plants.

If you’re feeding your plants water straight from your sink you may not be able to filter out all of the imperfections in it, including Chlorine and Sediments. When those elements get in to your water they prevent nutrients from being taken up by your plants. Instead, your plant takes up only part of the nutrients it’s supposed to, and take in harmful elements that can prevent your plant from growing to its full potential. In these cases you’ll want to use the PIP Dechlorinator+Sediment Filter Water Treatment System, so you can take those harmful chemicals and sediments out of your sink water and regulate the PPM levels of your nutrient water.

But even if you have filtered water, distilling it can still make it even better than it is after an initial filtering. With the PIP Reverse Osmosis (RO) 3-Stage Water Treatment System you’ll be able to treat your water, filter it, refilter it, and retreat it, giving you virtually distilled water: the cleanest water you can give your plants. With the prefect water, you’ll have pH and PPM levels even and ready for your plants to take up lots of nutrients and additives.

There’s no reason not to treat your water, so why aren’t you already? If you wouldn’t drink chlorine-drenched water your plants won’t want to either. The only way your nutrients and additives will be able to work to their full potential, they have to be mixed with the right water. When you treat your water you prepare it for exponentially better yields than you had with plain tap water.
