The Quantum 5 fixture comes without lamps and can be used after pairing with electronic ballasts to deliver high power output to the plants. The quantum has a shallow profile that uses high-quality German glass for a wider lamp spread while spreading very low heat. The aluminum reflectors allow light dispersion to reach a maximum number of plants.

The grow light uses reflectors that spread light to a broader angle. The light emitted from the lamp's backside reaches the plants without any possible obstruction by the lamp. The angled reflectors create a house of mirrors kind of effect. So, you can also place the fixture closer to the top of the plants.

When closer to the plants, the light will deliver 28% higher lumens while providing coverage to a wider grow area. As lamps are not included in the fixture, therefore, you have to you can use any of these two lamps for best performance delivery: Quantum HO T5 2900K Red (Item BLB023); Quantum HO T5 6500K Blue (Item BLB021).

The lamps mentioned above are just good examples; lamps by some other manufacturer will also work great. The reflector has been designed as such to increase the efficiency of T5/HO 54 lamps.
