The ballast can be used separately from the reflector, and you can hang it separately outside the grow room, which will eventually help you reduce the heat load. The fixture comes with a USB interface and lets you connect the fixture to the autopilot PX1 digital lighting controller so you can dim, switch and boost ballasts.

The reflector of the grow light has a compact design and does not allow sun interference in greenhouse applications. The reflector has been constructed of a European hammertone interior, allowing consistent light spread and letting you mount it at a lower height.
